Wine
Bannockburn Shiraz is a cool climate Shiraz grown in the estate vineyards in the Moorabool Valley outside Geelong. The soils are mainly volcanic over sand, clay, loam and a limestone base.
The grapes are wild fermented with partial whole bunches, then left on skins for three weeks before being pressed to tank. After malolactic fermentation the wine matures for 16 months in French oak puncheons.
Crimson with flecks of purple, Bannockburn Shiraz’s fine tannin structure underpins its supple red fruit and spice flavours. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
